I should be working on my paper about the debate between Evolution and Creationism, but I haven't posted a journal in quite a while so I'll do that first.

I'll be unoriginal because I don't have time to make up my own format.

-=Recent Events=-

I'm in New Jersey, chillin' out and whatnot. It's kind of fun, but you miss the little things. I'm extremely concerned about my grades this Freshman year, and am sacrificing food and shallow physical gratification in order to study and finish my assignments. It works because it's Ramadan anyway.

-=School=-

It's an adjustment, but so far it hasn't been too bad. I've met some people who are good enough, and I've been proclaimed "the nice guy" for some odd reason. I have some pretty vocal Conservatives in my class, and they're really annoying because they assume that the country is fine the way it is. Yeah, it's fucking peachy if you're a skinny-ass white guy from New Jersey with a degree of financial security.

-=Friends=-

What means this "friends"? I'm trying to stay in contact with people in London and Saskatoon, and I'm a little sad because someone won't talk to me anymore and I wish I had the opportunity to apologize for whatever it is that I did.

University kids are really superficial I'm noticing, so it's a little hard to befriend people like that. And loud, they like to scream all the time. And for some reason it's a bad thing that I'm a bit mellow and sarcastic because they don't understand me.

People always told me that I'd have more luck with making friends in University, and it seems like it isn't true.

-=Movies=-

I saw No Country for Old Men and was in awe of the badass nature of the Coen brothers. I may see Hamlet 2 later on when I'm not so busy, and plan to see Burn After Reading as soon as I can. I was overjoyed to see that Disaster Movie opened at #7 in total box-office gross over the weekend, and I hope that its abysmal performance means that we won't have to see any more of that "from two of the six writers of Scary Movie" crap.

-=TV Shows=-

Damn my lack of cable, I haven't watched TV in a week and a half.

-=Work=-

Work study hooked me up with a position at the Department of History and African American Studies, so I hope to have some colourful adventures there (no racism intended).

Well, maybe a little bit.

I'm drawing again! But I have to do it sparingly because University has to take priority. I'll post some stuff and finish this account at some point.

I'm pretty nervous, but still kind of relaxed all things considered, and I'm trying to do what I do best. I hope everyone stays in touch, because I really do miss y'all.
